The 2nd in our Blog Series brings us to the topic of Choosing your M.C. (Master Of Ceremonies)
So you have spent the last 12-18 months meticulously planning every small detail of your Wedding so it is just perfect. The anguish over seating arrangements, RSVPs, the Cake, Music. Everything. Only to find that you have overlooked probably the most important position of your Wedding Reception.
The MASTER OF CEREMONIES.
Many underestimate this vital position in your Wedding Day celebrations. Many go the cheaper way by arranging a Family Friend or a relative.
In our opinion. That is a very WRONG DECISION.
A MC is not only that Guy that introduces speeches and telling you all where the toilets & smoking areas are. A Professional MC is the person that actually holds your Wedding Reception together.
Your Wedding Reception has many different Wedding Suppliers all working independently to provide the services & entertainment that you have paid good money for.

Well this is where your MC kicks into gear. A professional MC will take charge of all aspects of your Wedding Reception and co-ordinate it with your planned schedule for the evening. As well as liaising with all wedding suppliers on the night to be certain they are all in the right place at the right time. Additionally every Wedding Reception Venue has a pre-booked time schedule that will require you to be certain that every detail you have planned for your night doesn't fall behind time or you may end up with the venue requiring to close before your Wedding Reception is completed.
This is the importance of the Professional MC. Their job is to solely concentrate on Your expected seemsless Wedding Reception so it runs smoothly and without any glitches.
Many say. Ah the MC just needs to talk. Not true. The MC must ensure your meals are served on time. Your speeches are conducted at specific times & more. In Fact. The MC is your Evening Wedding Co-ordinator. Hence the reason that this vital role should not be assigned to a Friend or Family member who has limited experience in such activities as well of the possibility of being distracted as being a guest.
While it is fully understand everything associated with a Wedding costs money & budgets really need to be adhered too. However if Budget allows. Please try & consider a Professional MC. Considering what workload is involved. The cost can work out quite inexpensive.
Next in our Blog Series we will look at PHOTOGRAPHERS. This should be fun.
