Over the next few weeks I will be creating Blog Posts based on the most commonly asked questions we receive.
We hope these will help & assist you when making your choice for a Wedding Videographer.
The first Question I will answer is about the length of time to hire a Wedding Videographer. Pro's & Con's
Wedding expenses these days can add up to quite a hefty amount & because everyone appears to believe that most Wedding Videographers work on a hourly Rate as such with most of suppliers. They do not. I will attempt to explain this.
A Wedding Videographer is a person/s who are engaged to actually create a product (Your Wedding Memories) Therefore basing a hourly budget on a Wedding Videographer is not practicable. Each Wedding Video is entirely different. No two are ever the same.
Remember, your wedding day is full of precious moments from early morning until late at night. Therefore restricting set hours is simply restricting your memories. While we offer less expensive Wedding Video Packages due to time with filming & editing. We are still actually booked out for the entire day. We cannot rush off to another Wedding after filming just your ceremony. Certainly we totally understand that you really want your wedding filmed but budget restrictions only allow for a Ceremony Only Package. This is why we offer those packages. However we still include other aspects in those packages to be able to give you a little more for your money. Such as Bride & Groom Preparations.
So, the answer to the Question is basically "YES" it is cheaper, But not really Value for Your Money.
While our cheapest package only consists of Bride/Groom Preparations & Ceremony only for $1190. For $500 more you actually get a Full Day from 12noon - 9pm which then gives you just about every memory of your day. As you can see by that costing it is way better value for money to engage the Videographer for a Full Day Package.
I want you all to think about this carefully. You book a Videographer to cover your Ceremony Only based on your limited budget. You know you wish you could afford more. Think about all those magical moments you are missing out on. The Romantic Bridal Waltz (First Dance). Your Speeches. That funny bouquet toss. The Best Man after he has spent way too much time in the Bar area...lol. Cake Cutting. The Big Reception Entrance. While you may have the precious moment of the Ceremony. It is these others memories that will be lost forever.
The fact remains that Every Videographer will have a Base Price Limit regardless of the time spent at your wedding. The additional time after that period is quite inexpensive. Therefore to get Value for Your Money, it is best to consider trying to find those few extra dollars & not to miss out on any of Your Special Day.
Until Next Time, Cheers
