If I had a dollar for every time I have heard that comment I wouldn't be still Filming Weddings.
Well, maybe that a little exaggeration.
Never the less it is commonly heard comment from Bride's that didn't bother engaging a Wedding Videographer on their wedding day.
Also we continually hear of outrageous amounts being spent on a Photographer for the day. $3000...$4000...$5000 for those precious photographs. Certainly they are extremely important to have. And my comments here may well get a few adverse comments from photographers. However, I have been in the Wedding Videographer business for 21 years & I am sorry to say that I have never seen a Photographer worth that kind of price. But people still feel that paying those prices ensures quality.
Well the same can be said about Videography.
Where as a Photographer may give you a USB containing maybe 300-400 pictures.
A Videographer will give you a video containing a minimum of 90,000 photographs. Well Picture Frames anyhow.
And these 90,000 frames are moving all together re-producing every detail of every moment that happened on your Wedding Day.
Not just selected moments that a Photograph will give you.
However people still see video as on a lower priority than photography.
But I digress,
Now where was I ? Ah yes. the regret.
Could this regret be simply because they remember moments or have been told of moments that just didn't get captured by the Photographer? I posed that exact question to 8 Bride's now currently married that did not engage a videographer & they all said a resounding "YES". Plus they mentioned they just love watching their friends Wedding Video but they only have photographs as memories which after the fact has fallen well short of what they seen on their Friends Wedding Video.
Now I am in no way discard Photography. It is a Must for your Wedding. All I am trying to say id Video will give you a lot lot more value for your money than a Photograph will.
This brings us to your Planning Stage.
The 3 most common Services to be engaged immediately once the date is set is
Videography just don't seem to rate in the first top 10.
Most common reason I have heard for not having a Videographer was. "We didn't feel it was a priority" to only follow by "We now know that decision was wrong"
In closing i just want to put a previous comment I made in your mind.
A photographer will give you 300 photographs on USB.
A Videographer will give you 90,000 in a video.
You do the maths on which is value for money ?
Until Next time. Cheers
